working with a homemade panel, 32 height 64 width. It works fine in older version of fast led but doesn’t work right in fast led example or any other example in smartmatrix. Think the problem lies in the fact that on old fast led examples I am able to tell it that it’s connected in serpentine and that they are grb not rgb. Is there a file that I can modify to fit these needs or does the panel need rewired?

SmartMatrix is for use with premade multiplexed LED matrix panels, not individually addressable LED strips or matrices. You might want to post at the FastLED Forum if you’re using FastLED.
