Just in time for the 4th of July festivities, Mark Kriegsman of FastLED fame shared an improvement to his FireworksXY code. His changes make it easier to scale the simulation to different matrix sizes. I only had to make a few minor modifications to make it work on SmartMatrix. It still needs a bit of tweaking, it’s a little jittery. And I need to get it added as a pattern in Aurora, but that will take more time and work, and I’m off to grill some meat and light some (real) fireworks.
